Lake Guerrero, one of Mexico's first big bass fishing hotspots, still produces some of the most exciting largemouth bass fishing in the world. Catches of 50 to 100 bass per day are still fairly common.

Located only 165 miles south of the Texas border it remains the most accessible big bass lake for U.S. anglers. It is an easy 3 hour drive from Texas. Many Texan bass anglers take their own rigs to Guerrero to catch the hot bass fishing action.

Just last year the lake record was tied with a 17 and one half pound monster largemouth bass caught by a Texas angler, Bill Ritzell.
