| General Information Lake Huites is approximately 15,000 acres. It is located on the El Fuerte River, in the Mexican state of Sinaloa, approximately 50 miles east of the coastal city of Los Mochis. We will meet your flight at the Los Mochis Airport
and drive you to the Villa Del Pescador in El Fuerte where you'll be welcomed by our
friendly staff and served snacks and refreshments. Before dinner we will go over your trip itinerary and orient
you on the area's points of interest and history. After enjoying a delicious dinner, prepared by our chef, you
can enjoy a comfortable nights rest. We will wake you early the next morning with hot coffee and
fresh juice. After a hearty breakfast, it's off to the lakeside lodge at Huites, an hour
and a half away. Upon arrival at the Huites lodge our staff will quickly move
your equipment into your room at the lodge then without delay you're into the waiting
boats and onto the lake where our professional guides will introduce you to your first
taste of that exciting bass fishing Huites is famous for. Around 11:30 we'll return to the lodge for a refreshing
lunch and short break. Refreshments will be waiting upon your return to the lodge each evening. Margaritas, beer, Cokes, etc. as well as snacks to tide you over till dinner. You can relax and recount the days highlights while enjoying a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding mountains.
After a good nights rest we'll wake you just before dawn
with hot coffee and juice, feed you another hearty breakfast and get you on the water for
another exciting day of fishing. On your final day of fishing we'll leave for El Fuerte at
around 4:00pm where you can rest for your return home. We will return you to the Los Mochis airport after breakfast
in plenty of time to catch your return flight. A birth certificate and photo I.D. is all you will need for
your Visa. Temperatures December 25th to February 25th expect daytime highs from 70
to 75 F and evenings 60 to 65 F. Temperatures can go down to the 40's at night. February through April days 70 to 80 nights 65 to 70. Always bring a rain suit. Shorts are fine when the weather permits. Always bring long pants and long sleeve shirts in case the mosquitos are around. Polarized sun glasses, a good cap and sun block are a must. Bring a light jacket for early mornings and late evenings
November - February. Tackle Chugger and Zara Spooks in clear and chrome are good when
the fish are feeding on the surface. Shallow through deep diving crankbaits in chrome, chartreuse
and crawfish are a good idea to bring along. Soft plastic worms are the most productive. 4 through 12
inch in shad, red shad, tequila sunrise and black are usually good colors. Guides and Boats Your guide will do his best every day to ensure you are on
the biggest fish all the time. Guides usually like to fish some of the time out of the back
