Puerto Vallarta lies on mainland Mexico's west coast, just about half way between Mazatlan and Acapulco. It lies roughly on the eastern mouth of the Gulf of Calirfornia, widely recognized as excellent billfishing water.

he Bay of Banderas, almost 100 miles across is home for a sportfisherman's most sought after prizes, Blue Marlin, Black Marlin and Pacific Sailfish as well as Whahoo, Yellowfin Tuna and Roosterfish.

The geography of the bay provides calm water fishing with blue water near shore much of the year. An hour and a half boat run puts you in prime billfish water.
